Meals on Wheels

Thank you to the ladies and gentleman for getting out on this cold November morning to cook for and to deliver to the Meals on Wheels recipients. Mom and daughter, Cindy and Kristen, teamed up to prepare a delicious meal of pork roast, cream potatoes with gravy, green beans, and a roll. Charlie and Kay were our deliverers today. Saying thank you almost seems inadequate for the service these individuals provide each week to this wonderful ministry of our church and the Alvord community. THANK YOU!!!

Jo and Susan prepared a hot and nutritious meal of beef stew, cornbread, seasoned crackers, an apple, and yellow cake with chocolate frosting for dessert. Kay and Danielle delivered this healthy meal. Thank you, ladies! As always, thank you to all the individuals who volunteer their time and energy to this ministry.

Cheryl, Donna, and Kim honored their mother, Polly, today with a traditional Thanksgiving meal. The meal consisted of ham and dressing with gravy, candied sweet potatoes, Southern green beans, cranberry sauce, a roll and to top it all off, pecan pie made from Polly’s own recipe. Charlie and Kay delivered this wonderful meal that was made with love from “The Sisters.” Many thanks to all who volunteer their time to this amazing ministry of the Alvord community.
