Meals on Wheels

The Meal on Wheels recipients enjoyed a Subway meal, which consisted of a Subway sandwich, chips, and a cookie. In addition, each recipient received an apple and an orange. A big thank you to the deliverers. Ryan and his children, Everley and Taleah, and his niece, Cambrie along with Kay delivered the meals. Twenty-nine meals were delivered. The recipients are very appreciative of this worthwhile ministry.

What is better than a bowl of potato, ham, and leek soup with a biscuit and banana nut bread for dessert on a blustery, frigid day? Nothing. Thank you to Suzette and Doug for preparing this hot and delicious meal for the Meals on Wheels recipients. And another thank you to Bonnie and her girls along with Kay for delivering. It took many layers of clothing to stay even halfway warm today. Dedication is the key to making this ministry successful. It is much appreciated. (Sorry, no pictures were taken of the chefs and the deliverers today.)

Thank you to Suzette and Jennifer for providing a wonderful meal to the Meals on Wheels recipients. The meal consisted of warm hearty chili, homemade cornbread, and scrumptious “dump” cake. Also, thank you to Kay Crafton who delivers meals every week. These individuals, along with many others in the community, help to make this ministry worthwhile.

Thank you to Jo, Susan, and Julie for providing a wonderful meal to the Meals on Wheels recipients. The meal consisted of King Ranch Casserole, Seasoned English Peas, Cranberry Jell-O Salad, and a roll. Gay provided a special treat. Each recipient received a Christmas stocking stuffed with an orange, a homemade cookie, and one of Gay’s specialties, a jar of pear/jalapeno jelly. Also, a thank you to the deliverers today: Kay, Deborah, and Les. These individuals, along with many others in the community help to make this ministry worthwhile.

“The Sisters” — Cheryl, Donna, and Kim — prepared a meal of chicken spaghetti, a carrot/raisin/pineapple salad, toast, and a fig bar for dessert for the Meals on Wheels recipients. Charlie and Kay delivered this delicious meal. Thank you all!
