CRAZY ABOUT MY KIDS!

“Children are a gift of the Lord.” Psalm 127:3

Children are a gift and a blessing, right? The long days of summer are catching up with many of us. Our greatest question of the day, “When does school start!?!” Having kids and grandkids is not for the faint of heart. It is like buying your first house — you are all in and committed to paying for it for many years to come. No turning back!

But if asked, “Would you choose to inflict this mayhem and exhaustion on yourself if you knew then what you know now?” We would answer, “YES!”

I am crazy in love with my kids. On the good days and the upside-down days, I love my kids. It is just that profoundly simple.

Have you ever wondered if God were asked the same question about his children, what he would say? Across time and space, we are a handful. Humanity can be rebellious, selfish, stubborn, and out of control. In scripture, each time God could walk away from His kids, He turns towards them to guide, teach, redeem, and save each one.

Think about hugging a child in your life and thanking them for the shine they bring into your life and then thank God for shining on you in all the moments of yours.
