If we asked, “Why would you want to participate in our Meals on Wheels mission?” do you think your answer might consist of any of the following: nutritious meals, smiles, hugs, reassurance for family members because it may be the only daily contact, or perhaps the personal blessings you receive because of being of service to someone else.
Our church is truly blessed because of your service to this mission. Thanks to those who willingly give of their time to prepare and serve nutritious, home-cooked meals, deliver meals, purchase canned items and/or meat, provide casseroles for other cooks to use, and monetary gifts to purchase food supplies. Again, we say thank you!
Our calendar is complete for January to April 2020 for cooks. WOW is all I can say. We just need help in delivering throughout those dates.
Erica Pelton is our church’s MOW coordinator. We thank Erica for her service.
We also extend special thanks to the ones who prepared food: Donna and Sue Nivens (in November), and Sherry Enis and Suzette Munson (in December), as well as to Margaret Hunt, Jo Watson, and Gay Dickens for providing desserts. Thanks also to Margaret Hunt, Danielle Stovall, Charlie French, Kay Crafton, and Jo Watson for delivering in November and December.
Thanks to Alvord 4-H and the Outlaw family (Carrie, Dalton, Jessie, and Kodie for preparing and delivering Christmas stockings to everyone on our Alvord MOW on December 15. Also to Gay Dickens for preparing Christmas stockings on December 19.
Thanks to John Gibbons, Terry and Pam Harris, and Ralph and Beverly Johnson for donating meat and canned goods.
